Prescriptions 

Repeat Prescriptions

If you have a regular prescription, you can request this providing you are up to date with all monitoring requirements. We advise to request your repeat prescription at least one week before you are due to renew. Your prescription will be ready after 4pm, 72 hours after the request has been received by the Surgery (excluding weekends). Please see a list below of ways to request your medication.


Please note you may be required to book a medication review prior to receiving your medication.

Online

Firstly you will need to be set up for online services. Please visit the Practice with a form of Photo ID, and a Patient Service Advisor will arrange access.

The recommended app for accessing your medical records in the NHS App, but you can access your medical records via the NHS App or SystmOnline. Please visit https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/ to download the NHS App.

Once your preferred method is set up, you will be able to request prescriptions in the Prescription/Medication section of the app.

Our Patient Service Advisors are happy to help should you require help in setting this up.

Email

You can send a prescription request by emailing the Practice at Thesurgery.aylestone@nhs.net. Please ensure the following details are included in your email:

  • Patient name

  • Patient date of birth

  • All medication required

Post

Please ensure if requesting via post you include your name, date of birth and the names of the items you require.

In Person

Please visit the Practice after Midday if you wish to place your prescription request in person.
